Wells with clean water is always there in every home that uses groundwater as a source of clean water. Water of wells must be maintained so that water quality is not decreased. Design of wells also need to be considered so as not to endanger and harm residents.
1. Build a wall on the edge of the well.
Put a sign at wells location by building a wall at least 50 cm from the ground surface .Besides as a barrier, this wall also serves to position the wells easily identified. If the wells does not have the wall or barrier then this could potentially cause people to fall into the well.
2. Make the distance between the wells with the river.
River is very easily to be contaminated. If your house is near the river then make the distance between the wells with river .The Best recommended of minimum distance is 15 meter. This manage is aims to prevent pollution of the wells due to seepage of river water.
